The children of Amy and Edward G. Whitfield
1. Irwin Munro Whitfield
Born 1895. Farmhand at York. Enlisted in the 10th Light Horse on 10/06/1915. Fought at Gallipoli. Killed in action in Syria on 3/05/1918 and buried in the Damascus Military Cemetery.
2. Claudia Kniest Whitfield
Born 1900. Grew up on Wonobbing Farm, York. When her older brother was killed in World War I, Claudia returned home from boarding school in Perth to help on the farm. After her father's death she managed Wonobbing Farm until the property was sold in 1948. Never married. Claudia then lived with her sister in York. In the 1970s, Claudia donated to the Greenough Pioneer Museum, a jam-wood walking stick carved by John Stephen Maley. Died in 1993.
3. Mary (Polly) Guerin Whitfield
Born 1902. Grew up on Wonobbing Farm, York, and lived there until the property was sold in 1948. Never married. Polly then lived with her sister in York. Died in 1968.
