The children of Joshua Mills and Hannah (nee Maley)

1. John Stuart Mills Born 19/04/1893 at Geraldton. On 30/05/1916 enlisted in the 12th Army Brigade and subsequently fought in France. Discharged 17/11/1919.

Geraldton Guardian 8/10/1925 "Personal – The engagement is announced between John Stuart, only son of Mr Joshua Mills, and the late Hannah Mills (Narra Tarra), and Irene May, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs A.H. Mountain, Geraldton."

On 26/01/1926 married Irene May Mountain.

Geraldton Guardian 9/01/1926 "Local and General – A Geraldton Wedding – A quiet wedding of much interest to residents of this district was celebrated at Christ Church, Geraldton, on Wednesday evening, the contracting parties being Mr John Stuart Mills, only son of Mr Joshua Mills; and Miss Irene May Mountain, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs A.H. Mountain, Geraldton. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. H. Vine. Only members and relatives of the two families and a few intimate friends were present. Mrs Ward, of York, the bridegroom’s sister, and Mrs A.A. Scott, of Broadlands, York, a cousin of the bridegroom, were amongst those present. After the ceremony there was a reception at the residence of Mr and Mrs A.H. Mountain. In the evening the young friends of the happy couple were entertained at a dance in the Parish Hall."

2. Helen Yetna Mills Born 1895. On 5/10/1920 married Doctor Harold W. Ward at Geraldton. Lived at York. Children: Guy (died on active service in World War II). Died 1952 at York.
