Museums like ours cannot exist without the help of volunteers
This page is dedicated to the volunteers at the Greenough Pioneer Museum.
The majority of rural museums in Australia are dependant upon assistance from volunteers to keep open. Volunteers daily open the museum, greet visitors, answer queries and recommend other places to visit. They also sweep, clean, polish and care for the collections. They maintain records, publicise, fund raise and help in many different ways to preserve their local history.
Museums are always looking for more volunteers to assist.
Why not give it go? If you talk to any volunteer, they will explain how rewarding and enjoyable an experience it is and why they continue to give their time and energy.
If you are interested in volunteering your time and your skills why not become a Friend of the Greenough Pioneer Museum.
