Welcome to the Greenough Pioneer Museum

The Greenough Pioneer Museum is located on the historic Greenough Flats 19km south of the port city of Geraldton (just turn off the Brand Highway onto Phillips Road). This museum was established by the Geraldton Historical Society in 1966 and holds the distinction of being the first museum to be established in the Mid West region of Western Australia.

The museum is housed in the former Home Cottage, an impressive colonial home built for the Maley family.

The museum is laid out to show you what life was like back in those 'good' old days! To walk through this building is a journey of nostalgia for some and a enlightening experience for others!

The Greenough Pioneer Museum is open daily between 10am and 4pm (closed Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Good Friday). Open outside these hours by prior arrangement.

Admission: Adult $4.50, Concession $3.50, accompanied children free. School groups $2.50/student, Bus Groups $3.00/each. Your admission fees helps fund this museum.

There is ample caravan parking space outside the museum and visitors are welcome to use the tables and benches under the historic pepper trees in the front garden for picnics.

Information sheets about the museum are also available in French, German, Dutch, Italian, Russian or Japanese.
